Some people just won’t take “Wham are not reforming” as an answer. Despite an official spokesperson insisting the rumours that George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley were set to reunite for the duo’s 30th anniversary were twaddle, they didn’t go away. So now George himself has been forced to speak out.
The star, who this week unveiled the Kate Moss and zebra-tastic video for his new single White Light, told ITV’s Lorraine:
“I think one of the reasons it gets talked about so much is because people want it so much and everybody else has done it. Both Andrew and I appreciate everyone’s desire to see us on stage together again, but I don’t think it’s going to happen.”
It wasn’t all bad news as Yog did confirm the rumours he’ll be performing a couple of tracks at the closing ceremony of the Olympics, saying: “I’ll be performing a couple of tracks at the closing ceremony of the Olympics”.
Er, that’s what we said. Everyone pray for Fast Love and Careless Whisper.
