The weather has claimed yet another outdoor music event. The highly anticipated Hit Factory Live concert in Hyde Park, where Kylie Minogue was set to recreate her famous duet with Jason Donovan, has been cancelled due to mud.
The gig, which was to feature many of the 80s and 90s acts who recorded for the legendary production team, Stock Aitken and Waterman, has been called off with just one day to go, due to the poor state of the ground.
A statement from the promoter reads: “Following the severe and unprecedented weather conditions across the country the site was declared unfit this morning to host the concert. The potential risk to staff and music fans was too great for the event to go ahead.”
In addition to a nostalgic burst of Especially For You from Kylie and Jason, the likes of Dead Or Alive, 2 Unlimited, Bananarama, Rick Astley and Steps were set to relive past glories.
We are absolutely gutted. Seriously.
